Here at Merillat, we take an immense amount of pride in our customers and value their opinions. With that said, a major aspect of our product development process includes asking our customers what they need and want in order to make their kitchens not only more beautiful, but smarter and more functional. We identify these needs through a series of Voice of the Customer studies and we are proud to say that many of our innovations have sparked from their feedback and ideas.
Even in today’s economy, we continue to offer homeowners, builders, dealers and designers new and innovative products, such as our revolutionary water resistant sink base, CoreGuard™ as well as 100,000 new product offerings.
We do this by following a series of steps through our Six Sigma efficiency process. This process allows us to develop new products and innovations in a structured and progressive way, which ensures that the products we are developing meet the standards that our customers and homeowners expect from Merillat.
Our philosophy of customer loyalty and constant improvement challenges us to continuously look for ways to create and develop innovative – and in some cases revolutionary – products that our customers need and want; all in an effort to give them more product options and make their kitchens more functional for their lifestyles.
We would love to hear your feedback and thoughts on what products you feel would be helpful to have in your kitchen!

Merillat is getting really excited about exhibiting at the 2010 Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) taking place April 16-18 at McCormick Place in Chicago. As with IBS 2010 in January, we look forward to showcasing our latest innovative kitchen products – including our new Merillat CoreGuard water-resistant sink base – at the event. If you are in the kitchen and bath industry, come by and say hello as you browse the latest trends, styles and designs! Merillat will be in Booth S1217!
If you’re at the 2010 International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas January 19-22, you’ll be one of the first to see a demonstration of the new Merillat CoreGuard™ Sink Base, a revolutionary water-resistant base cabinet that will be available this fall.
It’s something everyone can relate to. Mark Ayers, our Vice President of Marketing, says “A lot can happen under your sink. Leaks and spills can lead to stains and damage. CoreGuard helps protect your cabinetry investment.”
The Merillat CoreGuard Sink Base is made of an engineered polymer specifically designed to resist damage from spills and leaks. The face, frame and door assembly are wood, but behind them, everything is a water-resistant, non-wood material that’s easy to clean and is stain-resistant.
The floor has a slight forward tilt and a rib design to direct any spills forward. With CoreGuard, you can see a problem right away and clean it up. It’s a low-maintenance solution in a cabinet that’s built to last.
Merillat brings new solutions to the kitchen, and CoreGuard is one we’re especially proud of. According to Mark Ayers, “It’s a revolutionary addition to the kitchen, and we think it’s something homeowners are going to demand.”
If you’re at the IBS show, stop by booth #C4143 and see it for yourself. We think it might just make a big splash. And that will be okay.
